Refurbished iPhone 17 Pro: Pro Performance in a Redesigned Aluminium Body
The refurbished iPhone 17 Pro brings Apple’s 2025 Pro line-up to your pocket with a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display, ProMotion up to 120Hz and an Always-On display. It reaches up to 3000 nits peak outdoor brightness to help keep the screen readable in bright sunlight. The front is protected by Ceramic Shield 2 with an anti-reflective coating, which Apple claims offers 3x better scratch resistance.
At its heart is the Apple A19 Pro chip, with a 6-core CPU, a 6-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and a 16-core Neural Engine. Apple claims up to 40% better sustained performance than the previous generation, helped by a vapour chamber that manages heat during long gaming sessions, video exports and other demanding work. The Apple N1 wireless chip adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, alongside 5G for fast mobile data.
The iPhone 17 Pro moves to an aluminium unibody made from aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminium alloy, replacing the titanium frame used on the previous generation. The back is protected by Ceramic Shield too, which Apple claims offers 4x better crack resistance than previous back glass, and Apple rates the iPhone 17 Pro IP68 for dust and water resistance (up to 6 metres for 30 minutes).
Photography is led by three 48MP Fusion rear cameras: Main, Ultra Wide and Telephoto. The tetraprism telephoto offers 4x optical zoom and an 8x (200mm) optical-quality zoom, and Apple says its telephoto sensor is 56% larger than the previous generation’s. Night mode, Smart HDR 5, ProRAW, 48MP macro and the LiDAR Scanner help you capture sharp, detailed shots in all kinds of light.
On the front, the 18MP Center Stage camera is, according to Apple, the first square front sensor on iPhone, so you can take landscape selfies without rotating the phone. Video creators get 4K Dolby Vision recording at up to 120fps, Dual Capture, and pro tools such as ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2 and Genlock, which Apple says make it among the first smartphones to support them.
For battery life, Apple quotes up to 31 hours of video playback (28 hours streamed) for the Australian model. Fast charging reaches up to 50% in 20 minutes with a 40W or higher adapter (advertised), and MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging run at up to 25W. The USB-C port supports USB 3 speeds of up to 10 Gbps for quick file transfers.
Everyday extras include the Action button, Camera Control, Face ID and safety features such as Crash Detection plus Emergency SOS, Find My and Roadside Assistance via satellite (in Australia with NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAA, RAC, RACT and AANT). Apple released it in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue and Silver with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of storage, and every refurbished iPhone 17 Pro from CELLiFY is checked and tested before dispatch and backed by a 12-month warranty.
