Meet the iPhone 11 Pro Max, the largest model in Apple’s 2019 iPhone 11 line-up and one of our favourites among refurbished iPhones. It pairs a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Apple’s A13 Bionic chip and a triple 12MP camera system, all in a stainless steel design.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a textured matte glass back and a surgical-grade stainless steel frame, weighs 226 grams and was released in Midnight Green, Space Grey, Silver and Gold. Apple rated it IP68 for water and dust resistance (up to 4 metres for 30 minutes), although water resistance can lessen with wear and after repairs.
Apple gave the iPhone 11 Pro Max a triple 12MP camera system with Wide, Ultra Wide (13mm) and Telephoto lenses, so you can zoom from 0.5x to 2x optically. Night mode, Deep Fusion and Smart HDR help you capture detail in tricky light, and you can record 4K video at up to 60fps.
Day or night, the 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display looks sharp, with a 2688 x 1242 resolution, HDR10 and Dolby Vision support and up to 1200 nits peak brightness for HDR content. Apple quoted up to 20 hours of video playback for the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and it supports fast charging with an 18W or higher USB-C adapter (sold separately).
Fancy a bit of privacy? Face ID lets you unlock your phone, sign in to apps and pay with Apple Pay at a glance, which is handy when your fingers are covered in peanut butter.
