The refurbished Samsung Galaxy S26+ brings a large QHD+ screen, a versatile triple camera and a 4,900mAh battery into a slim, lightweight body. Samsung announced the Galaxy S26+ at Galaxy Unpacked in San Francisco on 25 February 2026, and it was released in Australia in March 2026. Samsung says it is 7.3mm thin and weighs 190g. An Armour Aluminium frame sits between Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back. Samsung rated the Galaxy S26+ IP68 for dust and water resistance (up to 1.5m for up to 30 minutes). Refurbished units, particularly those with replaced parts, may not retain the same level of water resistance, so avoid exposing your phone to water.
The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display has a QHD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 (around 516 ppi) and an LTPO panel with an adaptive refresh rate that moves between 1Hz and 120Hz, so scrolling and gaming feel smooth. It supports HDR10+, and Samsung quotes up to 2,600 nits peak brightness for clear viewing outdoors.
Australian models of the Samsung Galaxy S26+ are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2600, a 2nm chip with a 10-core CPU (up to 3.8GHz) and an Xclipse 960 GPU, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. Samsung says the redesigned vapour chamber spreads heat more efficiently than before. The phone launched with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, and Samsung committed to seven years of OS upgrades and security updates. Galaxy AI features include Photo Assist, which edits your photos from a simple text prompt.
On the back is a triple camera system: a 50MP f/1.8 wide camera with optical image stabilisation and 2x optical-quality zoom, a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide with a 120° field of view. Best Face helps with group shots, while Super Steady and Horizon Lock keep video level and stable. You can record 8K video at up to 30fps and 4K at up to 60fps with 10-bit HDR and HDR10+, and the 12MP front camera also records 4K at up to 60fps.
Samsung fitted the Galaxy S26+ with a 4,900mAh battery and quotes up to 31 hours of video playback. Wired charging goes up to 45W, and Samsung says it reaches 69% in about 30 minutes with a compatible 45W charger. The phone also supports fast wireless charging (Qi2.2) and 4.5W Wireless PowerShare for topping up compatible accessories. Battery life on a refurbished unit depends on its battery health and how you use it.
Connectivity covers 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC for contactless payments, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and USB Type-C 3.2 with DisplayPort output.
